Asian Coast Development (Canada) Ltd., through its wholly owned Vietnamese subsidiary, Ho Tram Project Company Limited, was the lead sponsor of the Ba Ria–Vung Tau Culture and Tourism Festival 2009. Also known as the “Flower Festival”, it is one of the largest celebrations of the Lunar New Year in Viet Nam. With the 2009 festival themed around the largest tourism investments in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, it was only natural for the Ho Tram Strip, the largest tourism project in the province, to take centre stage. ACDL operated a booth in the main festival square that welcomed thousands of visitors over a two-week period and also sponsored the closing concert event, which was the main attraction at the festival. The event was witnessed by more than 40,000 spectators and by millions more across the country on national television.
